<image:caption>Carrus’ passion for music and disciplined professionalism are apparent every time he takes the stage, whenever he’s in the studio, any time he plugs in for a rehearsal. Nothing is more rewarding than engaging in musical conversation while surrounded by players of the highest level. It breathes life into his soul, and continues to propel Carrus forward in his musical pursuits. After a seven year stint in Nashville, TN, Carrus relocated to New York City in May 2021. During his time in Nashville he pursued a broad range of musical styles - from country, western and american roots to rock, blues, soul and ambient music - alongside world-class musicians. He has worked for 100+ artists, touring coast-to-coast and internationally and recording in countless studios. Since moving to New York City, he has become a mainstay of various clubs around Manhattan and Brooklyn, including The Bitter End, Terra Blues, The Groove, and Skinny Dennis. In addition to his sideman work, he fronts the Instrumental Soul Project (ISP). Outside of the city, he is a long-time collaborator with the Wisconsin-based avant-folk collective, Holy Sheboygan! ——</image:caption>
